The children at BestStart Napier Central had two trips to Arataki Honey Farm this week! They begun with the excitement of a van ride. The children loved putting their seats in the van, and finding out who they were sitting next to! There was a lot of singing, conversation and overall excited vibes heading out to the honey farm.

We drove in to the car park and spotted all the amazing whānau that had came out to join us. These trips are made possible by all the support and time our families give to their tamariki and our centre and we are so proud of these great relationships.

Once there it was time to get off the van and find a buddy to hold hands with, safety first! We made our way in to the building where we meet this really nice lady who told us all about the amazing bees.

It was so exciting learning all the amazing facts about bees! We could also see where some of the bees lived, there were about 5 bee houses and in each house there was a queen bee, we found all the queen bees, this was made easy not only by their size, but by the dot that was on their backs! After the facts and the look around their homes, we were allowed to have a good look around, and boy there was a lot to look at! We had a great time dressing up, playing with all the toys and watching the t.v with more information about the bees on it!

Thanks Arataki Honey!!
