A day full of fun and laughter!
The tamariki at BestStart Onehunga have been exploring seasons. There has been lots of talk about winter and snow. The children have been exploring weather concepts particularly on the days of heavy rain, hail and thunderstorms. To extend on this we organised a snow day for the tamariki and had a truck load of snow delivered to the centre!
The tamariki, their whanau and the Kaiako enjoyed exploring the snow, creating snowballs, tasting this, watching it melt, throwing it up and exploring gravity as it fell on top of them. There were a lot of squeals of delight and some gasps of surprise as snowballs were flying!
