A play-based curriculum
Recognising that our preschoolers have a growing capacity for inquiry and language, and understanding other points of view, our kaiako support this through a play-based curriculum. When tamariki are working and learning from their interests their capacity to cope with change and unpredictability increases, building their resilience and emotional well-being.
As part of our 'Before School Readiness Programme' our preschoolers participate in daily learning experiences which help develop and strengthen the skills and dispositions that will equip them to be confident and capable learners, ready for the next step in their journey as they prepare for school.
