A real race car visits!
They went to watch the cars drive past on their way from Whanagamata. It was so exciting! The children began bringing in their favourite cars from home and played lovely games on our car in the playground, pretending to drive to shops or go to the movies. This prompted one of teachers to organise a race car to come and visit...great excitement! The children played on and in the stationary car and learnt about all of the safety features including the very big fancy tires on the racing car! This was a fantastic learning opportunity for our children, especially as this emerged from their own interest in cars!
