A Royal Message
Here at BestStart Cashmere we like to make links with our local community. But we also reach further afield. Our children were showing a recent interest in the royal family. In particular the Queen. In November 2020, our 3,4- and 5-year-olds wrote a letter to Queen Elizabeth, wishing her and her family a wonderful Christmas. The children also asked, "are your jewels, crown and dresses heavy or light?" and said that the children "think you are the loveliest Queen on Earth". The letter also included a picture that one of our children drew for the Queen.
And recently we were very lucky, and received a letter from Windsor Castle, written by Annabel Whitehead (the Queen's Lady-in-Waiting), on behalf of the Queen.
The Lady-in-Waiting included a pamphlet explaining The Crown jewels, which includes the weight of St. Edward's Crown (the Queen's coronation crown), what it is made of and what gems are included in the crown.
What an amazing connection to make with our wider world and it was so lovely to have a response received by the queen.
