A trip to St Joseph's

What a lovely afternoon we had on our excursion to St Joseph’s Primary School on Thursday. It was a great day for a picnic and to share in some stories with the welcoming and friendly junior classroom. They were all dressed up as their favourite book characters and were keen to share their special afternoon with us.  

We also got to explore the school a little - enjoying their playground, big field and sand pit.  When it was time to go, we gathered up our teddies and thanked St Joseph’s with one of our favourite waiata, Pakipaki Tamariki Ma.  

We were sooo proud of our tamariki, walking into a, what was for some, new school environment during their busy lunchtime, but after a few refreshments they were soon engaging with the teachers and students and taking the opportunity to explore a different play space. Ka pai tamariki!
