At BestStart Te Whāriki, we were overjoyed to welcome a special visitor; emergency fire personnel and a fire truck from our local Lincoln Fire Brigade! It wasn't just an event; it was an invaluable opportunity for our children to learn about emergency services and connect with our community's heroes. As the fire truck pulled up, adorned with flashing lights, the children's excitement was clear for all to see.

They eagerly gathered around buzzing with curiosity. Climbing inside the fire truck was an adventure in itself and each child's eyes were wide with wonder at the equipment. The highlight of the day was when the children dressed up in firefighter gear, embodying the bravery of these heroes. They were thrilled when the firefighters let them turn on the hose, filling the air with laughter and joy. As the visit concluded, the children waved goodbye with hearts full of gratitude. They made heartfelt cards and shook hands, strengthening the bond with our local heroes.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the Lincoln Fire Brigade for this incredible opportunity. Their visit not only enriched our understanding but also instilled respect, gratitude, and community spirit in our children. At BestStart Te Whāriki we believe in the power of such experiences to shape young minds and foster a sense of belonging. The Fire Truck visit was a shining example of how connections can inspire, educate, and leave a lasting impact.
