A visit from the SPCA
This afternoon we were lucky enough to have Ellie from the SPCA visit us. She showed us different pictures of the types of animals that arrive at the SPCA, and are cared for there until a new home can be found. We learnt that animals need certain things as we do being human, like food, exercise, shelter and love.
She taught us two different songs about looking after animals, that we all enjoyed learning. Ellie showed us different photos of dogs showing different expressions, which was teaching us weather they would be safe to pat and also explained that we need to always ask the owner if we can pat their dog.
Lastly she brought a special friend with her, “Cupcake” the rabbit. We all had the opportunity to pat Cupcake as she slowly went around the circle.
Thank you to the parents who donated some items for the SPCA, Ellie was very appreciative.
