Adventures galore
This month BestStart Welcome Bay had a double excursion day! In the morning our Koru room ventured out in the quad prams to Johnsons Reserve where the children climbed up and down a dirt pile, played follow the leader around the trees and explored to their little heart’s desire. They all came back with a bag full of resources and a few souvenirs to take home, our Koru room now has beautifully restocked natural resources courtesy of our children.
Mid-morning our Pohutukawa room went on their excursion to the same park. They chose to go to the field and hill where they had a picnic lunch made for everyone by our cook. The children loved running around, chasing balls, and each other, in the open space. The highlight was rolling down the hill, the children had to challenge their mind and body to work in sync and co-ordinate to roll all the way to the bottom. It looked like so much fun the teachers and parents had to join in as well.
Our whole centre excursion was only made possible by our awesome parent helpers and the dedication and focus of the teachers. We can’t wait to do this again soon.
