AMAZING school holiday fun
During April we had a fun filled school holiday programme for our little explorers at BestStart Palm Springs. The children enjoyed learning through discovery with a different theme for each day of the holidays. These included; music, athletics, water play, wheels day, a disco, favourite book day, ANZAC remembrance, a scavenger hunt and hot favourite pamper day.
The photos speak for themselves as the children participated in the variety of events and activities and the smiles on their faces are priceless.
With our big blue backyard, Papamoa Beach, we have a strong focus on water play and using the natural resources we collect on our adventures. The children have the opportunity to discover that these natural items may change shape, feel or colour as they are added to water. Such great early science concepts.
We also are very lucky to have fortnightly visits from the library bus so books are another strong interest. With this in mind the children loved bringing in their favourite books to share on book day. We are so happy to foster their engagement in early literacy as the develop respect for books and discover they can provide both entertainment and knowledge.
We love the school holidays where we can host these fun days so the early childhood aged children feel just as special as their school aged siblings with fun learning opportunities to participate in.
