An Easter PJ Party
At Coast Boulevard we decided to celebrate Easter this year with a Pyjama Day! Children and teachers came in wearing their most comfy pyjamas, dressing gowns and slippers and were excited to see what kind of pyjamas everyone has. We had superhero pyjamas, fluffy animal pyjamas, and even a few princesses in pyjamas.
The children spent the morning making rabbit ear headbands and enjoying easter crafts such as decorating rocks to make an easter themed garden outside. After morning tea, we had a very special visitor come in to see us, the Easter Bunny! The Easter Bunny came in with a basket full of eggs and the children sat on the mat while he hid the eggs out in the playground. Once all the eggs were hidden children were sent out in groups to search for their very own bite sized treat. Once every child had an egg, they returned to the mat to eat it alongside their friends and teachers. When their eggs were finished, the children showed the Easter Bunny how good they are at dancing, and the Easter Bunny joined in with a few moves too!
After this special mat time with our honoured guest, the Easter Bunny went and gave out eggs to our precious pepi in the Kowhai room. Our babies certainly enjoyed having a special treat at day-care that day, and were mesmerized by our furry friend handing the chocolate treats out.
