Animal Shadow Drawings
With lots of frosty mornings followed by sunny days it was the perfect chance to create some animal shadow drawings here at BestStart Rugby Park!
The tamariki were immediately captivated by the shadows which lead to lots of discussion and interest in what a shadow was and how it was made. The tamariki quickly worked out that if you stood on one side of the table you blocked the sun and were quick to tell others when they stood in the way. The tamariki traced, coloured in and then even drew their own animals. We finished the afternoon with a game of shadow tag, which always creates lots of fun and laughter.
