Autumn Goodness
At First Steps Onslow we have taken the fun of Autumn to a new level with the exploration of Autumn leaves. The children had a wonderful time in the leaves that were freshly blown form our trees. There was exploration of leaves being thrown high into the air and watching them floating back down, the feeling and sensation of lying in the leaves and the crunching under foot as we walked through kicking our feet through the leaves.
The children recognised sizes and shapes of the leaves and then through a new lens looked at the variety of Autumn colours and the leaves and how when they are held up to the sun new colours were emerging. What a great natural learning experience for all of the children!
