As the tamariki settle back into routine at school, we have been reassessing and realigning our teaching strategies to support their growth and change within the last month and a half. It has been great seeing how much the children has grown and changed during this time and the teachers are passionate about exploring new activities and experiences with the tamariki. With smaller bubbles at the centre, we have been able to evaluate and extend on each individual child's learning more meaningfully and have had some wonderful experiences and interactions.

Through this time, the children have learnt a lot more about being respectful to one another, giving each other enough space, understanding more about viruses and germs and so on. It is never an easy or nice task to go about this but learning with an open mind has really supported our tamariki to fit in with this ever-changing world. All these experiences have enriched our tamariki's learning and we have been able to have meaningful and learning-oriented conversations. During dark times it becomes hard to walk forward steadily, but we need to always remember that silver lining and to spread that care and aroha.
