Backing the annual Plunket Appeal
At BestStart Cranford Street, we strive to connect and support the local community around us. This month, we were honoured to join the Plunket appeal and raise funds and awareness to a cause close to so many of our whānau.
With a plan of attack in place, we organised a fun event day with all things blue! Coming in their best blue gear, teachers and children were prepared to explore blue slime, art, play dough and everything else we could get our hands on. Whānau were included in the fun by helping us set up a garage sale for children to donate toys and purchase them from each other, with all proceeds going to Plunket.
The main attraction however was the slime contest. The children and whānau were able to donate money to the teacher they wanted to slime. At the end of the week, the teacher with the most money raised was slimed.
This was such a fun week to be at BestStart Cranford Street, with everyone coming together as our own community to support Plunket.
