At BestStart Hastings Central we wanted to recognise and celebrate Children’s Day in our own unique way.  We chose to celebrate our tamariki by getting out our special bubble machine and having fun with lots of bubbles and laughter. We shared our celebration with our families by joining us for all the fun and have a shared afternoon tea with their tamariki. All the happy smiles from our tamariki and their whanau was a heart-warming.

Children’s Day at Beststart Hastings Central is about celebrating who our tamariki are, focused on having a relaxed day filled with love and enjoyment. The teachers have worked to create a day and atmosphere where the children know just how special they are to us all.

Our tamariki are taonga and whilst we enjoy each day we get to spend nurturing their learning and development it is also important to ensure we have fun, let loose and simply enjoy our time together which is what has been.
