Belonging/Mana whenua

He pai te tirohanga ki ngā mahara mō ngā rā pahemo engari ka puta te māramatanga i runga i te titiro whakamua. It’s fine to have recollections of the past, but wisdom comes from being able to prepare opportunities for the future. 

This month marks milestones in each room, and as teachers, we have taken the parents’ aspirations on board for each room. Along with this, we are nurturing individual learning journeys that are reflective of their milestones and journey. 

Our new children and families are settling well and adapting to the changes for better outcomes for all children. Apart from this, we have been nurturing our ngaa tamariki’s individual interests and dispositions which align with our values and vision and with that of the Ministry of Education guidelines. Our links to Tangata Whenua are well enriched with our teaching philosophies. 

Children are exploring the 16 areas of play and building on their prior knowledge and learning. Their school readiness is supported through a variety of learning experiences that are facilitated in creative ways.
