BestStart Greenmeadows celebrate Diwali
Diwali is an Indian celebration which signifies the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, knowledge over ignorance, and hope over despair.
The teachers and children at BestStart Greenmeadows celebrated Diwali this year by participating in cultural experiences such as making lanterns, making, painting and decorating diya (oil burners). We had amazing family contribution, where the family came in to dress up all of the teachers in saree and also cooked a traditional meal for our children to share together.
This celebration was a wonderful opportunity for children and teachers to take part in and acknowledge our diverse families and cultures.
