BestStart Marne Road's annual concert
On Saturday, the children of Marne Road Kindy held their Annual Concert for all the families at the Hawkins Theatre in Papakura. The children approached the stage with confidence and shared their learning of the past three months. The children all sang and danced the morning away, performed in a play and celebrated their learning on the stage in front of 180-eager onlookers.
The four-year-olds took charge of the choreography and the leadership of running the concert, from introducing the songs, speaking confidently on the microphone, and narrating our journey. Families were arriving to the concert with a complete curiosity of what the next hour and a half would bring. Once the music started and children began dancing down the isles with the animals to the song Africa the parent knew they were in for many surprises.
The children have now gained confidence in Public Speaking, being on a stage with their friends and having so much fun while performing to a large audience which will support them in preparation in their school journey.
