BestStart Milson Line catches the bus to the NeeNaw Show!
Last Wednesday was an exciting day for twelve of us and three kaiako as we embarked on a bus trip to see the NeeNaw show. As we gathered for the trip, we demonstrated our readiness by using our listening ears to listen to instructions from kaiako and using our waiting muscles to patiently board the bus.
We extended helping hands to our teina, ensuring everyone was safely boarded and found a comfortable seat. Once on the bus, we showed responsibility by fastening our seat belts and taking care of our belongings. During the journey, we greeted tamariki and kaiako from other centres and enjoyed spotting cars and buildings out of the window.
Throughout the show, we had fun watching Ellie the helicopter, Nee Naw the fire engine, and Grandma's amusing antics. On our way back, we had lots of lively discussions about the traffic rules and enjoyed some well-deserved rest.
During the trip, we demonstrated our kaiako and our community the concepts of whanaungatanga (building relationships) and manaakitanga (hospitality and care). By working together and showing respect for one another, we strengthened our sense of belonging and connection within our learning community.
Moreover, we created some precious memories together with friends and kaiako.
