BestStart Raumati Newly Renovated Nursery
Our youngest tamariki have settled into their newly renovated space, here at BestStart Raumati. Our nursery space remains cosy and comfortable with a sense of home away from home…………but the renovation has opened up the environment providing lots of space for our teina to spend their time exploring, being inquisitive, making discoveries and fostering their curiosity.
Our deck flows to the outdoor māra, where tamariki can spend time in a natural, tranquil and safe space with opportunities to explore in nature, spend time in the sand or challenging themselves on the outdoor equipment. Since reopening our teina have been developing and growing a special relationship with kaiako Sam and other tamariki as they spend time learning and growing together in our lovely new space.
Our teina are enjoying a variety of new resources, these can be used in a variety of ways, are easy to handle, natural, are stimulating, and are developmentally appropriate. Our Nursery space also has equipment to climb on, crawl into, or that tamariki can pull them- selves up on. These are sturdy and safe. Relationships are important to us here at BestStart Raumati and our teina love the opportunities to spend some time learning and having fun with our tuakana, older tamariki too.
