BestStart@Home with BestStart Manly

Kia Ora whanau, what a wonderfully busy month we have had here at BestStart Manly. Being an Auckland based centre means that we have found ourselves again experiencing another Rahui – staying at home to keep each other safe due to Covid. We kicked off our BestStart@Home programme to support those staying at home, working alongside those still at Pre-School. We have been checking in with our whanau and tamariki regularly, as well as sending fun ideas, engaging story times and working alongside those who are still at Pre-School ensuring we stay connected and are continually working to strengthen the relationships we hold with our whanau, tamariki and community. These relationships are of the utmost importance to us here at BestStart Manly, the heart of our community and all that we do. Check out our video, this is one of the ways we have engaged our tamariki during Beststart@Home.

Recently we have also been preparing to ‘move house’, as we are lucky enough to be moving just up the road to a newly, purpose-built centre, Beststart Whangaparaoa. This means our team are busy planning for the move all the while ensuring our tamariki are at the heart of our focus, centred in Manaakitanga and Whanaungatanga a deep caring and respectful relationships for one another. We look forward to the transition, to setting up our new space and making it feel like home, full of the love and values we hold as the whanau we are here at BestStart Manly! Watch this space, exciting times ahead!

We are looking forward to when we can be back together, sharing, learning and playing but in the meantime we will make the most of being at home, ensuring we stay connected, having fun, staying safe and supporting one another.
