Bikes Only!
Once a month, our tamariki at BestStart Totara Street are allowed to bring ‘toys’ from home. They have a visitor with a van full of gear. And our carpark is shut off to cars but open for the children! We call this day…. BIKE DAY!!
Our Tamariki bring in their helmets and bikes from home. Cath from Bike Taupo brings her van full of equipment ranging from ramps to wind trainers (pedal practice machines) to her selection of bikes and helmets. We close off our carpark to provide a great space for learning balance and to ride our bikes on two wheels! Even our babies get out on their bikes and make the most of the big exciting space to get their motor skills honed for the day they jump on that balance or pedal bike.
