Book day at Belfast!

On Wednesday 14th September we had a Book Day Dress up party. To link into the current project of interest around stories, we asked Nga Tamariki to dress up as their favourite book character and to bring in the book for us to read and look at. What a wonderful variety of characters we had on this day. Two of our teachers also made over the sleep area into a camp site to encourage Nga Tamariki to spend time that day "Camping out with a good Book". At BestStart Belfast Kindy we value the importance of Pre- literacy skills for Tamariki at all level and ages to help in being "Be School Ready"
