We have had a fun-filled summer here at Best Start Given Rd, with lots of fun activities for our tamariki.  This week was the last of our summer programme with Science Day on Monday, then on Tuesday, the tamariki made boxcars to race on Wednesday and on Friday we are having a Kiwiana day with fun New Zealand based activities. 

The boxcar races were definitely a hit, with tamariki taking pride in their boxcar along with being very happy to share with their peers who hadn't made one.  

There were great car engine noises made as they were getting ready to race off, the rest of us counted down from 3 before they raced off around the playground.  What a fun-filled day it has been, with tamariki enjoying the boxcars throughout the day, we can predict that this will become a favourite activity amongst our tamaiki in the weeks if not the months ahead.
