Bringing our legend to life
This month at BestStart Pyes Pa we were lucky enough to perform our The Legend of Pyes Pa at the BestStart Cultural Show at the QE2 at Memorial Park. The children since we opened have learnt about the legend of Taurikura. So performing this was a proud moment as our legend is what makes our centre unique. In the process the children explored New Zealand's native birds - colouring, features and the way they walk while also learning how to take on a role of a character and expressing emotions. The confidence they showed on stage was amazing! We are very proud of them all!
