Over the past few weeks in the Fern Room the tamariki have had a great interest in bug hunting and learning about the natural world. This week we got the magnifying glasses out the so the tamariki could explore the bug pictures and bugs they found up close. Each day when the door is opened the tamariki make their way over to the gardens and lift up different objects to see if any bugs have made their homes underneath. Though our bug hunting exploration the tamariki are learning about different bugs, the natural world and building on their group exploration skills.
