In Ruma Kiwi, our babies have been using their bodies to develop and grow their gross motor skills through a range of different activities. We have had the soft climbing equipment inside to explore and have also been spending lots of time outside exploring Ruma Pukekos outdoor area. All of the babies are either now walking or pulling their bodies up onto different furniture around the room.

There has also been lots of messy play, as you have noticed with the new art work that has been displayed around the classroom. Along with art we have had lots of fun exploring our senses and developing fine motor skills through gloop, finger paint and playdough. We have almost half of Ruma Kiwi transitioning to Ruma Pukeko over the last few weeks and weeks to come. We look forward to welcoming new families into Ruma Kiwi with these transitions opening up spaces for new children to join our whanau.
