There's been lots happening in the Bambini room. Teachers have been busy creating a new layout between the main room and the little room downstairs. We will use the larger area upstairs for the smaller babies in the mornings, where it can be a nice calm space for them to crawl around and explore, while downstairs the small room will be set up with a range of Montessori themed activities for the older children. We are also using this room for morning tea and lunch.

The children have been great at familiarising themselves with the new routines and layout to their class.

Everyone has enjoyed playing with a few different bits from our selection of outdoor toys - the little wheelbarrow was being used to gather up leaves and rocks from the garden, the little rocker and also some water play to keep cool on these warm afternoons.

On Wednesday, a few of the older children enjoyed a visit to the library for story time. They enjoyed getting out in the community and joining in for this lovely activity that we have right on our doorstep. We will try to do this most weeks and alternate the children so that everyone gets a turn to go.

We all enjoyed a really cool treat - a surprise visit from the cops on Wednesday. The police lady was going past on her horse "Slide" after being at the Armistice Day service. She stopped by at the fence when the children were out in the garden having an afternoon tea picnic. There was great excitement as they all lined up to look and say hello!
