Busy in the Tiki Room
This week has been a busy
week in the Tiki room. Tamariki have been continuing to explore their
creativity using the building blocks to create their own houses and bridges for
their cars to drive along. They have enjoyed building walls against the
whare in the classroom and pretending to be "Hulk smash" and knocking
the walls down in a fit of laughter, building them up again to knock them down.
Tamariki have worked alongside each other, sharing their ideas about how to
build the wall and inviting everyone to join in with the fun.
We have explored painting with different colours and exploring ways to mix the
colours to make a new colour to use on our pictures.
During the week we celebrated a final mat time for a special member of our Tiki
whanau, Ted, raised by Jackson, had his final goodbye from the Tiki room to
stay at home and sleep as he was getting so tired from coming to school with
Jackson every day.
We are excited to see what our Tiki team explore and learn next week!
