We have started a vegetable garden at preschool and today the children help plant some strawberry plants. We discussed about keeping our bodies healthy through eating food that is healthy and nutritious. The children helped to weed the garden and water the silverbeet and spinach that we have growing. Through this activity today we developed a sense of responsibility for the living world and knowledge around how to take care of it.  

We check on our plants everyday and are looking forward to eating the vegetables and strawberries with our lunches.
