Carpentry skills

We have recently been looking for ways to incorporate carpentry into our infant’s curriculum. We often end up with a surplus of formula tins, so we decided to put them to use by cutting a slit in the lid and using a hammer to hammer in jar lids. This took our children’s interest immediately when they heard the banging noise. Through this experience, the children learnt great hand-eye coordination for future skills such as learning to write as well as turn-taking.
