At BestStart Wigram, we have been very busy organising our Chinese New Year. Due to Covid 19, we were not able to ask parents to help making the dumplings. Instead, we bought some dumplings and pan fried them for the children to taste this traditional Chinese food. Our tamariki loved them so much and kept asking for more!

We made paper lanterns, puff paint cherry blossoms, paper folding lanterns and Ox paper bags. We also gave all the children a special treat - the red envelope from BestStart with a "gold coin" in it. We all dressed up in red or traditional Chinese costume to celebrate this special event.
