Celebrating Chinese New Year, the year of the Ox

Chinese New Year continues to be one of the largest celebrations in the Beststart Wairakei Road calendar.  Every year we are grateful for the strong connections which we have built within the Chinese community.  This year tamariki and whānau joined us to make dumplings for kai.  We also enjoyed visits from a range of dance groups and musicians.  The children explored music, language, culture and art.
