BestStart Manukau really enjoyed their Christmas party/ Kirihimete pāti at the centre. They had a very busy day with the range of Christmas activities and games/ kēmu that the kaiako had planned for them. In the morning the children helped to prepare their very own fruit /whurutu kebabs for lunch and during mid-day they decorated their gingerbread man for afternoon tea. The children also made some bird feeders and reindeer food to take home at the end of the day. The tamariki got a surprise when Santa/ Hana Kōkō came to visit them just before their lunch and delivered their Christmas presents / Kirihimete koha. The children had an absolutely fun-filled day as they enjoyed the yummy lunch and afternoon teatime treats for an indoor picnic.

At the end of the day, the children were happy to take their presents home along with some reindeer food which they knew to sprinkle on their lawn on Christmas eve to attract Santa's reindeers/ renetia.
What a joyful day our tamariki had!
