Celebrating Diwali at BestStart Te Heuheu Street Kindy

The Diwali Festival is a popular event which commemorates the spiritual victory of light over darkness. On 20th of October, during the celebration of Diwali at BestStart Te Heuheu Kindy, we enjoyed listening and dancing to Indian music. We also enjoyed delicious, authentic Indian food which was brought by our tamariki's parents. We also had drew rangoli in the outside area and made lanterns and clay diyas, including paper diyas, to get tamariki involved.
