During the celebration of Earth Day and Anzac Day, everyone in the Ruru room actively engaged and participated in learning and protecting our environment.

For example, encouraging our parents, whanau and team to bring anything recyclable from home, contributing natural resources and utilizing recycled and natural resources for visual arts and planting learning experiences.

Ruru room's tamariki and kaiako collaborated in rich and meaningful Anzac Day learning experiences: co-constructing with tamariki about Anzac Day, decorating a military hat and encouraging tamariki to put the poppies on the wall.

We had a fantastic engagement during Earth Day and Anzac Day celebrations where children's learning dispositions were amazingly enhanced: curiosity, creativity and engagement.

We are so proud of our inclusive and bicultural practices and outstanding contribution from our Ruru room to our local communities.
