Celebrating Father's Day with our centre whaanau!
Father's Day was celebrated with Dads, granddads, and all father figures.
Early morning from 7.30 am to 9.30, we had an opportunity to spoil them with a hot breakfast and lots of lovely creative gifts, specially made by their child. Thanks to Cleo, we were honored to celebrate this with her great-grandad. We also had some arts and crafts tables set up for them to create and enjoy making beautiful ties.
At one table they had to recreate their face with the help of their child and some craft. The children were leading this and Dad had fun with the experience, especially the end product! We appreciate all the mahi from our dads and granddads. Thank you for being such awesome role models for the children.
Through such experience, we intend to strengthen our sense of Belonging/Mana whenua: Children and their families experience an environment where connecting links with the family and the wider world are affirmed and extended.
