In March we all had so much fun celebrating Holi - the Festival of Colours, Love and Spring.

Holi celebrates the eternal love of Radha and Krishna.

As a centre it is important to us to celebrate the many cultures we have in our centre and making sure all our tamariki feel valued and that their mana is empowered. The tamariki and kaiako embraced this celebration by wearing white or light coloured clothes that we could throw coloured powder onto. Everyone had so much fun exploring the powder and seeing it create different colours on our clothes and hair. This day was all about having fun and exploring with our friends. Our kaiako had various colourful experinces for tamariki to engage in such as painting and colouring in. We all came together at lunch time and shared a delicous butter chicken and naan bread prepared by our wonderful cook Alison. Everyone enjoyed sharing this delicous meal and coming together to celebrate. It was an amazing day filled with fun, Laughter and lots of colour! We cant wait to celebrate Holi next year. We are also looking forward to celebrating many other cultures throughout the year as we learn and grow together. Togetherness Happens Here at BestStart Allenton!
