We held our annual Matariki celebration in July which as always was a huge success. Leading up to this our tamariki engaged in lots of different Matariki inspired activities and the to end our celebration we had a whanau evening.

We took the opportunity to share the evening with our whanau and enjoy some delicious kai. Our day was spent preparing vegetables to go into our Hangi and Boil Up - this was done with some of our amazing parents.

One of our awesome Granddads came in and cooked our Hangi in the carpark as well. Once the kai was ready our whanau came back to the centre where we shared with them their child’s learning, did a little performance and then shared kai. It was a beautiful evening and one we always look forward to!
