Celebrating Mothers Day with gratitude and love!

BestStart Mt. Wellington celebrated Mother's Day in a very special way this year. Our Tamariki in the Prep Room made beautiful artworks for their mummies using various painting techniques such as finger painting, handprints, and dot painting. These activities not only allowed our tamariki to explore their creativity but also helped them develop their fine motor skills. In addition to creating art, the students also practiced a song called "I Love My Mummy" by Super Simple Songs. Singing in front of an audience can be daunting, but these performances helped build our Tamariki's confidence and prepare them for big school.

BestStart Mt Wellington's Mother's Day celebration was also a great opportunity to celebrate different kinds of moms. We recognized all the moms in our community, including working moms, stay-at-home moms, single moms, aunties, nana, and even dads that had the mum role plus everything in between. This celebration was a wonderful way to honor and appreciate the hard work and love that moms give to their children every day. Overall, it was a heartwarming and joyous event that brought our community together to celebrate the amazing moms in our lives. We can't wait for next year's Mother's Day celebration!
