Children’s Day at Tawa was a joyful celebration filled with laughter, fun, and moments that truly put our tamariki at the centre of everything we do.
It was a day all about them , their voices, their choices, and the things that bring them the greatest joy.
Our kaiako and management team proudly performed for our tamariki, creating lots of smiles, giggles, and excitement. To add to the fun, everyone dressed up, filling the centre with colour, creativity, and plenty of laughter. Seeing familiar adults step into playful roles reminded our tamariki just how deeply they are cared for and celebrated.
Adding to the magic, our tamariki chose what was served for every meal throughout the day. From start to finish, the day was thoughtfully shaped around what they enjoy most, with each room filled with activities, play experiences, and moments that reflected the interests and personalities of the children within it. At Tawa, we love showing our community , and especially our precious taonga, our tamariki , just how special they are every single day. Children’s Day simply gives us the chance to be a little extra, something Team Tawa never needs encouragement for.
