Celebrating Thanksgiving
We celebrated Thanksgiving with our Montessori Otumoetai whanau. We are a very multicultural centre with lots of families from around the world. With guidance from our American families we celebrated this event.
Thanksgiving is a special holiday where thankfulness, kindness and fellowship is celebrated and how it binds everyone all together. This is exactly what we did here at Montessori by holding a morning tea, where many of our families came together and shared food with our community and whanau.
The children got to experience stories from this tradition and to also learn what is thankfulness and how important it is to be kind.
This was a special moment to share with our community here at Montessori Otumoetai, coming together especially after this difficult year of 2020. We are so thankful for our whanau, tamariki and community here at our centre.
