Today was a truly special day at BestStart Kamo Central as we came together to celebrate generosity, dedication and some wonderful personal milestones.
We were incredibly honoured to welcome our BestStart CE, Area Manager and Chief Nurse at Whānau Āwhina Plunket to our centre as we celebrated the incredible success of this year's BestStart Butterfly Appeal.
Thanks to the outstanding dedication and passion of our very own Karyn, BestStart Kamo Central proudly raised the highest amount across all BestStart centres.
Through countless hours of crocheting beautiful handmade creations and inspiring support from our families, friends and wider community, Karyn helped make a meaningful difference for whānau across New Zealand. During a special morning tea, we had the privilege of presenting the cheque representing the funds raised across all BestStart centres. It was a proud moment for everyone involved and a wonderful reminder of what can be achieved when a community comes together with kindness and generosity.
The celebrations didn't stop there! We also took the opportunity to recognise Karyn's remarkable five years of service at BestStart Kamo Central. Over the past five years, Karyn has shared her creativity, generosity and unwavering commitment with our tamariki, whānau and teaching team. We are incredibly grateful for everything she brings to our centre each and every day.
To top off an already memorable day, we celebrated another exciting milestone - Riri's 21st birthday! It was a joy to come together as a team to acknowledge such as special occasion and create more happy memories together.
Days like today remind us that our centre is about so much more than early childhood education. It's about community, celebrating one another, giving back and recognising the incredible people who make BestStart Kamo Central such a special place to belong.
