At BestStart Kamo Central, we value being a part of the local community and working alongside families to support your child's learning. Our teaching strategies are focused on promoting learning through play, allowing children to lead their own learning, and encouraging children to become confident, critical thinkers. Along with our local community, we also believe it is important to learn about our surrounding environments and landmarks and how we can appreciate them while treating them respectfully.

We believe in the significance of children being able to explore freely, which sometimes means running in the rain, mud between their toes, and sun on their faces. We encourage movement and exercise during a child's development and our playgrounds can be moved and changed to allow new opportunities and challenges for children to extend their capabilities.

We have a variety of "loose parts" throughout the centre, both within our indoor and outdoor environments. Loose parts are learning resources that provide children with opportunities to develop their creativity, imagination, problem-solving skills, and man more real-world skills. Through these activities, children learn as they play, but most importantly, in their play - children learn how to learn.
