Tamariki are constantly challenging themselves physically and exploring the possibilities with their tinana (bodies) as they manipulate large muscles with various equipment.

At BestStart Rangiora we love to find new ways to support their exploration and this week they have been busy practicing gross motor, balance, hand eye coordination with a range of physical activities: Flying planes and aiming for targets, hanging about on the monkey bars, and pulling friends in the wagon. These are great ways to develop upper body strength and build gross motor skills which are necessary before they develop their fine motor skills.
