Chinese New Year at BestStart Merivale
BestStart Merivale Chinese New Year Celebration: This year we celebrated Chinese New year with a range of activities and experiences for the children to engage in. We coloured, made red envelopes and put chocolate coins in them for good health. We loved our arts and crafts, making red lanterns, paper cuttings and dragons.
We even had a special feast inviting our families into join us, with our wonderful cook, cooking us all a delicious lunch to enjoy, using chop sticks- we did so well! One of us parents came in and talked to us about all the amazing things that happen and what special celebrations they do and wished us all good luck and health for the year.
What wonderful learning we are had together, making connections to our wider world.
