Chinese New Year cultural celebrations
Happy Chinese New Year here at Best Start Pukuatua, we had the most amazing celebration with our Chinese cultural community coming to show us their special dancing from their homeland.
Here at Best Start Pukuatua, we have a rich pot of cultures and we take as many opportunities as we can to embrace and celebrate this. Our Chinese New Year gave us the chance to experience different music, and food, make connections with our Chinese community, come together as a whanau and have so much fun learning while doing so.
It also allows us to embrace our Chinese whanau we do have and show them that even though they are a long way from home, we are offering them mannaki to help them within our own culture. We are also learning so much from this experience as we open our minds and hearts. We are proud to have our different cultures here at Pukautua and we love to celebrate this for all our whanau with dancing, music, kai, and getting together to spend time and make memories.
