What an exciting morning it was!
Subashini and I took eight of our tamariki on a special Christmas adventure to the ILT Stadium.
Our journey began on the bus, making stops at four other BestStart Centres along the way to pick up more children and teachers — the excitement grew with every stop! When we arrived, we started our day with some delicious morning tea before heading off to explore the play pods. The play area was filled with fun gross motor equipment spread out across a whole basketball court — giving everyone plenty of room to climb, jump, and run to their hearts’ content.
After all that active play, we visited the Christmas tree display and had a wonderful time admiring all the creative decorations. When it came time to vote for our favourite, there was no hesitation — BestStart North Road got our vote, of course!
By 12 pm, as we hopped back on the bus, the excitement of the morning had caught up with everyone. The ride home was much quieter, with a few sleepy tamariki resting their eyes. It was such a fantastic day, and we’re already planning our next big adventure!
