Come for our School Visits!
At BestStart Weymouth, we prioritize visits to the school - this supports the children to get an idea of what happens when they go to school. BestStart has started a set-for-school program where our focus is to support the children and prepare them for primary school and their future learning.
Set for School considers the unique needs of the child, family, and the school they will be attending. It focuses on four areas that are key to a child growing up to be a competent and confident learner. Set for School is grounded in research as well as feedback from the school, so we know that we are supporting the children to reach their potential.
We love this journey as we can guide the children and their whanau while they transition to Primary School. We have established a great relationship with one of our local schools where we have been going on fortnightly visits on Mondays, however, we plan to build great relationships with the local schools around us so that we can support the children in their transition to school no matter which school it is.
